Our mission is to promote Yoga and Meditation as credible health practices, improving the well-being of Golden Bay Community , especially those in low-income communities. Through our Community Wellbeing Program and accessible practices like postures, breathwork, Somatic Experiencing and meditation, we empower individuals to lead healthier lives. We integrate Yoga with mainstream healthcare, focusing on stress management, preventative health, and positive aging, while raising public awareness of Yoga’s benefits for long-term health.

About Us
Bay Yoga Education Trust is a charitable trust located in Golden Bay. We believe Yoga is a helpful and transformative tool that can bring ease, strength and flexibility to our bodies, hearts and minds.
Our vision is to make yoga practices accessible to all. You do not need fancy yoga pants, heavy wallets or lots of time to attend our classes. We keep our classes affordable, accessible and there are no membership fees.

Yoga For Emotional and Mental Wellbeing
Feeling stressed and overwhelmed?
Subsidized courses of Yoga For Emotional and Mental Wellbeing are trauma Informed weekly classes providing supportive tools for dealing with stress, anxiety, emotional and mental health which you can use at any moment or situation in your life.

In this course we explore and practice tools and techniques from a variety of yogic disciplines (Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin Yoga, Kashmir Shaivism, Trauma Informed Yoga, Yoga Nidra) to increase body awareness, our listening skills, capacity to self-regulate, relax and self-compassion.

Golden Age Yoga with Sheila Kennard
Every Monday at 10am
A series of yoga classes for golden aged folk or for those who may wish to explore yoga in an easy and accessible way, guided by the amazing teacher Sheila Kennard.
This is a chair yoga class, designed to help with balance, strength, stability and a good dose of fun. Thanks to Rata Foundation and Lottery Grants for providing funds for this classes .

Yoga For Men classes
Every Tuesday 5.15pm - 6.15pm
These classes are specifically designed for men. Here we pay extra attention to the areas of shoulders, lower back and hips. Each class finishes with deep relaxation.
Start (or continue!) your yoga journey in this friendly and relaxed environment, in a small group at beginner level. $130 for the 10 weeks. Given availability, you are welcome to come and give the first class a try ($16) before deciding on signing up to the whole block.

MEN of Mōhua... Funded by Pub Charity Limited this important offering would suit you if you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, depressed or anxious and for those wanting to manage their lives with more ease. Bought to you by health and wellness professionals with over 30 years of collective experience. You will learn simple practices and tools to support your mental, emotional and physical health.
